Gary Jeffries, ex-Huddersfield player 1984-86 and New Zealander, along with his wife Joy, son Bradly and daughter Laura, will visit Huddersfield in mid-April 2011 and he is very keen to catch up with his English rugby buddies. You may recall Gary was intent on visiting us 12 months ago until the volcanic ash fiasco intervened! We’re pleased to report that Gary and family are safe and well following the recent earthquakes in New Zealand.
Should you wish to renew acquaintance with Gary, he will be at the club on Saturday, 16th April for the 1st XV home league match against Rugby Lions (KO 3 pm), preceded by the usual three-course pre-match lunch (12.30 pm for 1 pm) and for “afters” in the main bar.
If you wish to lunch at the club (12.30 pm for 1 pm) places are now available, please email the club office or call 01484 469801. On this occasion, although several tables have been allocated in anticipation of the higher demand, we strongly advise that you book early.
In the unlikely event of the match being postponed, Gary and family will still visit the club throughout Saturday afternoon, 16th April.
