Huddersfield Rugby Union Football Club have been honoured by being granted club accreditation from the sport’s governing body the Rugby Football Union. Ex Huddersfield favourite and RFU Development Officer Hamish Pratt presented the Accreditation certificates for both The Senior Section as well as the Age Grade section this week.
The club has spent the last 12 months working towards this accreditation; this was achieved through both the senior and junior sections of the club. The Club had to provide evidence that it had appropriate management procedures in place for its facilities, and that the management and governance structure of the club was efficient and effective. Finally the club met the core values of Rugby which are Teamwork, Respect, Enjoyment, Discipline and Sportsmanship. The Age Grade Section of the club were also reviewed by the RFU and demonstrated that the Age Grade section operated and is committed to providing a safe, fun and enjoyable rugby union playing environment for young people.
Present to receive the award on behalf of the club was club Chairman Stephen Thornton, Vice Chairman Michael Brown on behalf of the Senior club and Tracy Davis on behalf of the Age Grade section.
We would like to thank Bohdan and Heather Santar for all their hard work in the delivery of the accreditation and all the other volunteers and helpers from all sections of the club.
Well done HRUFC!!!
