With plans underway already for next season, Dan Ramsden has been appointed as the strength and conditioning coach at Huddersfield RUFC.
Dan Ramsden, who hails from Bradford, will join the club’s backroom team having spent the last few years working with a range of professional athletes.
He will take up his new role following the last year’s excellent pre-season work by Rob Leighton, who has since set up his set up his own Cross fit gym in Lincoln.
Speaking about the appointment, Ramsden said: “I’m really pleased to be joining the Huddersfield set-up. I’ve benefited a lot from working with experienced conditioning professionals from my time at Huddersfield Giants Academy and more recently in my work at Planet Fitness in Bradford as a personal trainer and now I’m looking forward to the new challenge and working with the squad.”
Huddersfield Head Coach Gareth Lewis was equally happy with the addition of Ramsden, adding: “I’m sure he will bring a new dimension to the physical development of our players ahead of the new season. Dan has a rugby background so he will know how to get to get to get the most out of the players ahead of the new campaign.”
Great team try against Hull this weekend.
From a scrum in front of our own sticks, the ball gets played out to @kian_stewart11 who makes a great break. 🏃🏼💨
The ball is recycled and makes it to @MilnerWill who grubbers through for Arthur Wilkinson to gather and dot down.
Congratulations to Head Coach Gaz Lewis who has just completed his 200th game in charge of the team.
During his tenure, the team has won two National 3 North titles and achieved their highest ever finish in National 2 North.
Well done Gaz!
