Huddersfield Rugby Union Club are back in the National 2 North after a year’s absence and are calling for fan support as they kick off the new campaign.

Field’s first home game of the season is on Saturday against Harrogate with the side looking for their first win following last week’s narrow defeat at Chester.

Harrogate finished in 9th place in last season National 2 North, ensuring a tough test for Huddersfield.

However, a full and noisy Lockwood Park will provide an intimidating atmosphere for the visitors and an inspirational one for the home side.

Huddersfield have made many additions to their squad over the summer with plenty of competition for places in what is an exciting time for the club.

Kick-off is at 3pm with free entrance for kids. Everyone is also welcome in the clubhouse bar which opens at 12pm.

So make your way to Lockwood Park on what promises to be a great day and get behind the boys to kick off the new season with a bang.
