This coming spring will see a unique event occur at Huddersfield RUFC as Lockwood Park opens its doors and pitches to budding Rugby Union talent.
Hundreds of athletes from clubs spanning the north of England are due to arrive in Huddersfield to participate in a festival of age grade Rugby and a day of Rugby based activities, designed to inspire the next generation Rugby Union players.
The festival has already proved highly popular in West Yorkshire with a high demand for places but any club who wishes to register an interest is welcome to do so.
The Festival will be split over two weekends covering two age bands of players.
The first will be held on March 30th 2014. This weekend will specifically for players ranging from six to nine years old (Under 7’s to Under 9’s).
The second festival will take place on the weekend of 6th April 2014. This weekend will be focused specifically on players aged from nine to twelve years old (Under 10s to Under 12s).
The festivals themselves will be structured on an itinerary of activities beginning at 10:00am until approximately 3:30pm. All players will be supplied with food & drink from the club and every competitor will receive a medal for taking part.
If you have any further queries or would like to register an interest in participating in the festival please feel free to correspond with the contacts listed below about either age grade festival.
