Huddersfield Under 13s won the Yorkshire Cup in convincing style beating Dinnington 38-5 in the final on Sunday at West Park Leeds.
The boys greatly appreciated all the fantastic support from everyone at Lockwood Park who attended to make it a special day for them. The roar when they came out of the dressing room was worth 5 points as the boys rose to the occasion against a massive Dinnington Pack.
At the first scrum a huge hit from No 8 Joe Morrison on his opposite number set the tone for the game in which defence was the key. This allowed Fred Woodhouse the space to exhibit his blistering pace and to punish the Dinnington defence which he did with five tries.
Dinnington, to their credit, never gave in and they scored a well earned try but it was to be Huddersfield’s day as the final whistle blew to the delight of the huge travelling support.
