Five HRUFC alumni are in NatWest Schools Cup action at Twickenham on Wednesday 16th March.
The five boys will be representing QEGS Wakefield in their Under 18’s Clash with Bromsgrove at 3.40pm. They came through the HRUFC age grade set up, starting out playing as 5 year olds.
QEGS have made it to the final after a flying trip to Cornwall helped preparations for a quarter-final win over Truro School. Good defence has been a feature of their play as they had not conceded a point in four games. A strong forward display set up win in semi over Warwick.
QEGS are Twickenham regulars with this being their ninth final appearance. The QEGS player to watch is try-scoring scrum-half Sam Tovey.
The match is being shown live on www.englandrugby.com and can be watched here.
QEGS Wakefield and HRUFC have a strong link with numerous players turning out for both teams as well as QEGS providing sponsorship over a number of years for both the First XV and Age Grade festivals.
Good luck boys!
