The Club is proud to announce that Scotland and Britsh Lions’ Doddie Weir will be the special guest speaker at the Clubs Annual Dinner.
Prolific during his time with Newcastle Falcons, Weir went on to achieve over 60 International caps for Scotland.
Retiring from professional rugby in 2005, Weir is instantly recognisable as a friendly giant. Part of the 1997 British and Irish Lions tour of South Africa when the Lions were successful, it was the first tour since the end of the apartheid as well as being the first tour since rugby union turned professional.
Doddie is known as a fantastic after-dinner speaker and regularly appears on TV to provide analysis during international matches.
The annual dinner will be held on 24th February 2017 in the Waterloo Suite. It is a black tie event and will start at 7.30pm.
