KEVIN DAVEY TAKES ON THE ROLE OF RUGBY OPERATIONS MANAGER AT HUDDERSFIELD RUFC
Kevin Davey has taken over the important role of Rugby Operations Manager at Huddersfield RUFC. Kevin, father of Huddersfield’s First XV fly half Harry Davey currently with the club ‘on loan’ from Yorkshire Carnegie, is a vastly experienced rugby administrator. His duties will include managing player recruitment and retention, registration and organising contracts. He will be working closely with the coach, chair of rugby and committee to manage the rugby budget and squad logistics.
Kevin’s previous roles have included Manager of Yorkshire ‘16’ Group and Chair of Selectors; Vice Chair of Yorkshire Player and Playing Development Committee; Yorkshire Coaching Co-ordinator; Developing Player Programme Liaison Officer for Central District; secretary of Sandal and Ossett rugby clubs; various other Age Grade roles with clubs and district.
Kevin has enjoyed supporting his sons Harry and George in their rugby playing development and has become a popular member of the Huddersfield club since Harry joined their playing ranks. Never one to take a back seat in life Kevin is keen to help out and bring his experience to bear for the benefit of the Huddersfield club.
