We are pelased to announce that Huddersfield RUFC will face Huddersfield YMCA in a charity festive fixture on Saturday 28th December at Laund Hill, with the game kicking off at 2pm.
After the success of last year’s game at Lockwood Park with raising funds for YM Groundsman Andy Kelly another has been arranged for this year. The game will be played between teams of over 35’s from both clubs. The Huddersfield team will be captained by Richard Baxter and will include ex-First XV players.
This year funds will be raised for YM first XV player Harvey Burnett, who last season thought he had a hernia, unfortunately it transpired that he has cancer at a tragically young age. Harvey is currently having treatment and is being supported by his loving family and friends. As a further support for Harvey and his family, all funds raised on the day will be donated to Harvey.
There will be pre-match food available at a cost of £10. There will also be other fund-raising events taking place during the course of the day.
