This season has been a significant step in the players development and rugby career. Some relished the idea of full contact tackling but not being tackled! but come Christmas all the team had stepped up to the challenge. Straight running and maintaining high quality and safe passing were practiced in training sessions and led to many entertaining games which was great to see so many smiling faces when tries were scored.

The team enjoyed another brilliant Christmas social and it was lovely for both parents and children to spend time together off the pitch. A post Christmas dip led to a frustrating game against a well organised Sheffield Tigers team. However, the following week saw a complete transformation in one of our best games away against Doncaster Rovers. A fantastic confidence boost for the team and proof of what can be achieved when our players pull together.

The wet weather and water logged pitches after Christmas meant indoor training which was well supported by parents and allowed training and great team interaction and friendships enforced.

The lockdown unfortunately disrupted the end of the season plus the teams tour plans, however these are only postponed and we look forward to next season which will see another level of rugby development in scrums, rucks and mauls being introduced.

A big thank you to all the fantastic parents and grandparents who support their young people and our team from all the coaches and managers. See you all next season.
