FIELD BACK IN ACTION!!

ym-1

We are back!! Albeit in a slightly different format. With a return to full competitive rugby not taking place until at least January, Field will be taking part in a Ready4Rugby friendly tournament against Huddersfield YMCA this Friday evening.

In line with Stage D of the RFU’s return to rugby roadmap, the Field are able to take part in special touch rugby friendlies against other clubs. The Ready4Rugby format is a form of 10-a-side touch rugby, played over a smaller pitch, with rolling subs and specific playing conditions.

The game follows all Government & RFU guidance for sport with precautions in place taken to make it COVID safe including sanitising the balls, regular breaks and social distancing measures.

Spectators are allowed but must follow all social distancing guidelines. Spectators are allowed in groups of up to six, but must not mix households and must remain socially distanced from other groups.

Both clubs will be fielding two teams of 10 players. The games will be played on the back pitches and kick off at 7pm. Games will be two 15 minute halves, with breaks to sanitise the balls. The aggregate score across both of the games will determine the overall winner.
