Jonny Mason has signed on to play scrum-half for Huddersfield next season. The 21-year-old Manx man began playing rugby at the age of 11 for his local club Ramsey. He went to Sedbergh School on a scholarship and had seven successful years playing rugby there during which time his team picked up a national Daily Mail title and notched a win in the Rosslyn Park Sevens.
He has already had National League 2 rugby experience having spent a season with Macclesfield and played for Loughborough Students. He is about to embark on the third year of his four year construction, engineering and management course at the university. This year he is doing the work experience year of his sandwich course and will be honing his practical skills with Watson Homes in Salford.
He is excited about the prospect of playing at Huddersfield and is looking forward to meeting the challenges ahead. He is keen to test his skills and pleased to be gaining more playing experience at a new club.
