Congratulations to our General Manager Stuart Leach who has been chosen by club President Billy Thornton as ‘Clubman of the Year’ 2021.
Billy presented Stuart with the Jeff Hooper Memorial Trophy at the AGM on Tuesday 3rd August. In his address to the meeting, Billy praised Stuart for his loyalty and hard work during the last twelve months and his unstinting efforts to help see the club through the COVID crisis.
Stuart has been working at HRUFC since 2015 having joined our management team from the Huddersfield Town’s Canalside training ground on Leeds Road where he worked as Operations Manager. His hard work, can do attitude and cheerful personality has made him a hugely popular figure at the club and his selection as ‘Clubman’ was greeted enthusiastically by all at the meeting.
In addition to his duties as General Manager at the club, Stuart was also a playing member of the A-Team, until a broken leg and ankle forced him to retire in 2019.
