The club would like to say a huge thank you to Ray Morris, who has unfortunately been forced to hang up his HRUFC camera for health reasons. Ray has been our matchday photographer for a number of years now after first getting involved with the club back in the old Waterloo days. Ray worked as a science teacher at Honley High School and his colleague Paul Sharrock first introduced him to the club when he did some black and white rugby video recording.
Ray kindly produced books of his photographs, capturing some fantastic memories from the past few seasons (including the great picture of Terry in the story below). The books can be found on display in the Presidents bar.
We wish Ray well and look forward to seeing him and his wife Elizabeth down at Lockwood Park for a game in the near future.
The club is now on the lookout for someone who can fill the void and capture photos of our games on Saturdays. Anyone interested or requiring more information, please contact Chair of Rugby Paul Sharrock on 07936 388765 or email hrufcrugbychair@gmail.com
