We arrived to a monsoon of rain which cleared to a beautiful autumn day in time for kick off. Sadly for us it wasn’t a good omen.Today was the last day of holiday and rugby league challenges with both teams starting with 14. Our lads had a strong start and after 20 minutes it looked like all was in control. The loss of Oliver Mitchell with an injury certainly didn’t help and from then on we missed his fire power and strength.At half time we were 14-21 down and started the second half with a purpose. Our hands sadly let us down for the remainder of the game with countless dropped balls and knock ons.With a cup game next week we will re-group and welcome back our tanned holiday boys and their rugby league colleagues.The squad remains upbeat and looking forward to better Sundays.
