A wet defeat at Rochdale!

Huddersfield 3 v 9 Rochdale

It was a very wet day for the Yorkshire boys travelling over the Pennines. For once the team didn’t start very well and allowed a fluid attacking Rochdale to counter ruck and get the ball in to space early on, going down 3 tries. It was a hard physical game in cold, wet conditions, and the Huddersfield team, due to half term absences and match injuries, got very tired, allowing an increasingly dominant Rochdale team to score easily.

The effort from the players was outstanding and it is a lesson learned about how we can still play controlled attacking rugby. We are all looking forward to the rematch at Huddersfield in the New Year!

We hope Joe Hayes makes a speedy recovery from his fracture and returns to the team before the end of November.
