Support myname5Doddie

MND is a life-limiting condition that affects rugby league legend Rob Burrow and Scottish rugby union hero Doddie Weir.  Doddie has founded the My Name5 Doddie Foundation as a way of funding a quest to find a cure.  You may have seen him gracing screens and grounds in one of his unique tartan suits presenting his plans just as forcefully as he played his rugby.

Long-time member Mike Baggs heard Doddie speak at a business event.  Ever alert to an opportunity Baggsy tried to get him drunk and failed!  But Doddie was a gent, wanted to help out and came and spoke at our annual dinner a few months later.

It’s now our opportunity to help Doddie out.

A friend of Mike’s, artist Tony Huggins Haig, has produced 6 paintings, all of snowmen. He gave one to Doddie and his family and has donated the other 5 to help raise funds for the “myname5Doddie” foundation.

“Gone Sledging Yipee! Oh!” is the prize in a raffle organised through Mike’s Skipton gallery where it’s currently on show.  For details of the raffle and “Snowmen’ Christmas cards  follow this link https://www.acgallery.co.uk/doddie-weir-charity-raffle
