Tomorrow’s game against Rotherham sees two more players reach significant milestones.
Lewis Workman reaches 150 appearances. After coming through Huddersfield’s Age Grade section, Lewis broke into the first XV in the 2014/15 season and has cemented his place in the side with some fantastic performances. Lewis has scored a total of 241 points for the team, coming both from his boot and from tries. A third generation Huddersfield player, Lewis followed in his dad Greg and his Grandad Mike’s footsteps in playing for Huddersfield’s First XV.
Kian Stewart will make his 50th appearance for the club. Kian initially joined the club at the start of the 2018/19 season and rejoined the club in October last year following a short spell at Sedgley Park. Kian’s first appearance came on 1st September 2018 in the 24-29 home loss to Sedgley Park, however, he did manage to dot down in the 9th minute of his debut. The speedy winger is no stranger to crossing the whitewash and has scored a total of 26 tries in his time with Field, which included a National 2 North try of the week award for his try against Sheffield Tigers in November.
The young duo have created a great partnership and we look forward to watching them for many years to come.
