The news of the passing of Queen Elizabeth II has saddened us all and we, here at Huddersfield RUFC, along with all the rugby family and indeed the wider community, join in to offer our condolences to the Royal family who have lost a mother, Grandmother and great Grandmother. Our thoughts and prayers are with them and especially with our new King at this difficult time for them all.
Obviously, over the next few days, there will be some disruption to our planned events and to the normal running of our Club. During the national period of mourning it is expected the Club office will continue to operate, apart from on the day of the State Funeral. We are awaiting guidance from the RFU as to whether the scheduled competitive games will go ahead this weekend as planned.
We will confirm these arrangements over the next few days and our public communications and social media updates will reflect up-to-date information.
I know that all the members will come together to mourn and to pay respects to Her Majesty, Queen Elizabeth II, and that as a Club we will support each other through this sad time.
