Phil Tyrrell

The Club is saddened to announce the passing of Philip ‘Big Phil’ Tyrrell. Phil passed away in Kirkwood Hospice yesterday, 11th May 2023, after a short illness. Phil has been a Patron of the club for a number of years and was a regular diner at the pre-match lunches and will be sadly missed by all his friends at the Club.

We would like to pass our condolences to Phil’s family & friends.

TYRRELL On 11th May 2023, peacefully with his family at Kirkwood Hospice. Phil Tyrrell aged 64 years, the dearly loved husband of Ann, proud dad of Lauren and Hannah and their partners Jonny and Harris, beloved brother of Helen and uncle to Matthew and Elizabeth, affectionately known as ‘Big Phil’ to his many friends and colleagues. Friends are invited to please meet for the service at Huddersfield Crematorium at 12.30pm on Thursday 8th June. Family flowers only by request, donations in lieu of flowers if so desired would be appreciated for Cancer Research for which a plate will be provided at the service.
