Matches between these clubs are always close and this one didn’t let us down.
A solid confident start from HRUFC resulted in a try for last week’s man of the match Harry Fuller. Sadly our kicking boots weren’t on at this time but trust me they were on later in the match.
Against the pace of play Moortown managed a converted try in the last minute of the first half which saw us go in 7-5 down at the break.
It was at this point last week that we turned on the magic. Today it went the other way with Moortown scoring 2 tries to lead 19-5 with 5 minutes to go. If it wasn’t for a bit of ref intervention on the clock we wouldn’t have managed what happened next, he thought we played 30 minute halves.
Backs against the wall the lads dug deep and unleashed the power of our back line. 2 very quick tries from Frankie and Ayden which were magnificently converted from Scottie tied the match at 19-19.
A great fight back lads. Plenty to work on for Harrogate next week, we will be ready.
