The Club’s Annual Dinner which will be held on Friday 1st March 2024 at 7pm in the Waterloo Suite. Members and non-members welcome!
The guest speaker will be Mick Quinn who is one of the best after dinner speakers on the circuit. He is a former rugby union player who played international rugby as fly-half for Ireland. He played schools rugby for Newbridge College and captained them to victory in the 1970 Schools Cup Final over Blackrock College RFC. He then moved on to play senior rugby for Lansdowne Football Club before earning a call up to the Ireland national team. In 1976 he was a member of the Ireland squad that went on tour of New Zealand and Fiji.
Guests will also be entertained by comedian Mick Monroe. Mick Monroe International comedian says it all! Mick, a Middlesborough based comedian, started out like most comics, a pro drummer working with top entertainers and comedians before finally turning to comedy in 1991.
In summary, Mick Monroe can work to any audience, anywhere, blue, clean, Or inbetween!
The Deputy Mayor of Huddersfield and her consort will be joining as special guests.
The evening is a black-tie and evening gown event and includes a four-course meal.
The meal consists of;
- Farmhouse terrine with toasted croutes, butter and chutney.
- Slow-cooked braised steak with potatoes of the day and seasonal veggies.
- Homemade lemon meringue pie.
- Cheese board with wafers and grapes.
- Freshly brewed free-trade filter coffee.
