Huddersfield v Otley….Match Preview

Field will welcome Otley to Lockwood Park for the final home game of the season.

Field will be looking to produce a performance the home crowd can be proud of and sign off with a win.

Huddersfield are without the in form Leighton Davies and Tom Haywood who have both impressed in the backrow.

Key players Luke Pearson and Finn Stewart are also missing from the squad that made the trip to Billingham. Finn will be running the Manchester Marathon alongside his little brother Kian in support of MND.

Liam Parfitt is now available after his snooze at Preston and he forms a strong backrow alongside Fran Entressengle and Billy Hammond. Lewis Quinn picked the short straw and will move from number 8 to the second row, a challenge I know he is relishing.
Ethan Myers returns at hooker, Ethan has been unavailable in recent weeks and he said “I’m off travelling the world”… an exotic trip that saw Ethan spotted in Tenerife, still… at least he finally made it out of Slathwaite.

Archie Stancliffe retains his place on the wing following an impressive debut at Billingham and will be joined by fellow age grade products Charlie Foreman and Lewis Workman.

Workman will make his 200th first XV appearance and he will be given the captaincy for the game as a salute to his commitment to the club.

Huddersfield are also boosted by the return of Harry Whitfield to the starting side following an injury sustained against Tynedale. In a surprise move, Harry will take his place at 12, as a result Harry has now rebranded himself Harry Tuilagi.

The bench looks physical with Niall Phayer who has recently stepped up from the Falcons, Alex Dawson, Loz Sanderson, Darren Neilly and the terrier himself Paul Harrison.

We wish the lads well!
