Our Colts comprises the U17 and U18 age groups, competing in the Yorkshire Colts leagues, the National Colts Competition and the Keith Dyas Yorkshire Colts Cup.
The overall Colts structure and approach continues to follow and align itself with the Senior teams, and includes the integration of Colts players with the seniors, a process aimed at delivering fully prepared players to the First XV squad.
This season sees Michael Stancliffe and Steve Lynch as Lead Coaches. They will be assisted by Attack Coach Rob Potter, Forwards Coach Darren Neilly and Head of Strength & Conditioning Greg Parkin.
Tracy Davis is the team manager, as well as continuing her role as the Chair of the Age Grade.
The pathway from Junior to First and Second XV rugby at Huddersfield RUFC has never been stronger.
Training times
Colts sessions are run every Thursday with a 6.45pm meet (7pm start) running to 8.30pm. All age qualified Colts players are also encouraged to attend open age training every Tuesday.
Registration and Membership
RFU Regulation 15 requires players to be registered annually online each season from U7’s upwards. HRUFC’s policy is to register all players, including U6’s even though there is no requirement to formally register.
1 . Register your child on the RFU Game Management System (GMS). You will either need to login to your existing RFU account if you are renewing or register a new account if you are registering for the first time. You will need to register your child as a player to Huddersfield RUFC. There is a link here to explain how to do this.
